Sonia B

Lumbar Disc Replacement for Back Pain & Sciatica

Sonia, a film editor, had always led an active lifestyle including playing sports, running and cycling. Around 2014 she felt some pain in her hip, then her legs, which steadily intensified until standing for more than two minutes became impossible.

She tried to manage the pain with medication and physical therapies until one night she could not feel her arms and legs. She realised she needed a surgical solution as her body was incapable of healing on its own and permanent disability seemed to be only months away.

Late 2018, Sonia underwent a Prodisc® L total lumbar disc replacement procedure at CCV Montpellier. A few weeks later, the pain was gone and she returned to an active, pain-free life.

Sonia progressively regained muscle strength over the next six months and recovered fully to finish the biggest race of her life: The Ultra Marin – a 175 km race. She got her life back.

Jon

Back to Building, Back to Life

Jon is a master carpenter and triathlete who lived with chronic back pain for over a decade. In 2023, sciatica from a severely herniated disc left him immobilized and in significant pain – unable to move, let alone train.

Refusing spinal fusion, Jon searched for alternatives and found SpinePro who managed his treatment at CCV, Montpellier. There, he received a ProDisc® L total lumbar disc replacement which changed everything.

After three months Jon was back at work and completely pain-free. Nine months later saw him training like before.

Jon has his life back.

Long Term Study of Prodisc® L Patient Outcomes

CCV Montpellier undertook a long term study of 1,187 Prodisc® L patients.

The results underscore the benefits of total lumbar disc replacement.
